Harvest House of Hope prepares for Friday Golf Tournament
Crooked Oak Golf Club in Colquitt will be the scene of the Harvest House of Hope Annual Golf Tournament this Friday, July 10.
House of Hope Director Cissie Franklin said she is so pumped about the response to the tournament this year in spite of the obstacles they had to overcome due to the Covid-19 virus. Eleven teams of four will tee off at 8 a.m. and another 11 teams begin at 1 p.m.
One obstacle was there can only be one person to a cart, unless they are all from the same family and don’t have to practice social distancing.
Franklin is also very excited about the auction bid offerings, which include a one-half day hunt for four at Southwind Plantation, a one-half day charter fishing trip for four with Shallow Seas Charters at Port St. Joe, and a Bass Pro Shops Legends of golf at Big Cedar Lodge autographed flag. Bidding is now open and will continue until 3 p.m. on Friday. Bids must be posted in the comments section of The Harvest House of Hope Golf Tournament page.
Franklin Spring Creek Ford in Colquitt has also donated prizes for anyone making a hole in one.
All proceeds go to benefit The Harvest House of Hope, Inc., a non-profit 501©3 organization offering a long-term faith based, residential recovery program for women affected by alcohol or drug addiction.
“Last year we made enough money to make a down payment on our van. This year we hope we make enough to pay it off,” exclaimed Franklin.
